Got My Name Dropped…

Welcome back! Have you joined my mailing list yet?

Wow. I was mentioned on another affiliate marketer's blog! It's on a post talking about one of my favorite ad networks, Logical Media (the actual post can be read here. Basically, I was telling this dude about my Twitter marketing method, and he started using it...and made over $100 in less than two days.

Now if only I could get him to write a testimonial for my Twitter Squidoo lens...heh.

How to Use Squidoo to Generate Referrals

So, I'm checking out the stats of my latest Squidoo lens which talks about my current method for making money on Twitter, and I'm noticing that for once I may have done something right.

For one thing, it seems to be getting pretty decent amounts of traffic from search engines, specifically yahoo. Granted, it's not a metric ton of traffic, but it's not bad compared to my other lenses (check out the section in my sidebar that talks about the Sugarbuzz network for links). By not bad I mean it's blowing them away.

So anyway, other than creating a decent looking lens with some pretty effective keywords, I've included a couple of my referral links for the programs that I discuss in the lens. And wouldn't you know it, the more traffic that comes to the lens, the more my affiliate referrals grow. Now if only they would get busy and put that method to work! :D

So what have I learned? Using Squidoo can be an effective way to generate referrals. And referrals are worth their weight in gold. Or cash, if you prefer.

I got a check from Logical Media!

Yesterday I came home to an envelope that had already been opened. No, not by anyone I don't know, so it's cool.

It was my first check from Logical Media!

For those that may not know, Logical Media is an affiliate network that has some pretty good offers. And yes, it is confirmed now, they are very legitimate. Of course, if I didn't have people tell me about them to begin with, I would not have joined.

This check was for $121.05. That may not seem like much, but I really do put a very small amount of effort into marketing in what little time I have to do it, and I mainly stick with just ONE of their current campaigns. I'm not telling which one. :p

If you are looking for a good affiliate network, you should check out Logical Media. There's a banner on the right hand side of the site that you can check them out and/or sign up with.

They were offering a $25 signup bonus at one point. Not sure if that's still going on, but it's worth a shot.

Free Stuff from Market Leverage

Forgive me for not having pictures, I'll have to work on that.

Oh, right...the beginning! Well, a few weeks ago I was playing around on Twitter checking out one of the folks who work for Market Leverage, one of the most awesome affiliate markets I've worked with. Long story short, there was a contest, and if you were follower number (whatever, can't remember off hand), you would win a sweet shirt.

Well, I won the contest. This week I was running around in my big rig, so I wasn't here when the package came. But when I got home...wow.

Not only was the shirt awesome (a very nice polo-type shirt made by Nike), but there was also a cool Market Leverage bag, a coffee cup (I was needing a new one), and a liquid proof roll-up keyboard (which my wife refers to as 'squishy')! I was definitely blown away by the bonus swag that came with the shirt! Nothing like free stuff to make your day, right?

Thank you, Market Leverage! On that note, if you haven't joined ML yet, why not? Not only do they provide excellent service to their affiliates, but they also dish out some pretty freaking awesome swag!

Affiliate Love Project: Marketers Helping Those in Need

I came across a rather interesting site called the Affiliate Love Project, which is a site that is designed to donate a portion of affiliate earnings to people around the world who are in need.

Essentially how the ALP works is that when you join an affiliate program through their site, you will still get paid your commissions, however the site admin will donate their referral earnings to charity. That sounds like a pretty good idea, really.

In order to help get things kicked off, the Affiliate Love Project has set up a contest. The prize? A$250 Amazon gift card! Entrants can get up to 3 entries by following/retweeting a contest tweet, blogging about the site and the contest (much like this), and also joining one of their affiliate programs and earning $10. Not too hard, really.

The deadline to enter is June 18th, with the winner being randomly selected on the next day. Hurry!
