How to Use Squidoo to Generate Referrals
Welcome back! Have you joined my mailing list yet?
So, I'm checking out the stats of my latest Squidoo lens which talks about my current method for making money on Twitter, and I'm noticing that for once I may have done something right.
For one thing, it seems to be getting pretty decent amounts of traffic from search engines, specifically yahoo. Granted, it's not a metric ton of traffic, but it's not bad compared to my other lenses (check out the section in my sidebar that talks about the Sugarbuzz network for links). By not bad I mean it's blowing them away.
So anyway, other than creating a decent looking lens with some pretty effective keywords, I've included a couple of my referral links for the programs that I discuss in the lens. And wouldn't you know it, the more traffic that comes to the lens, the more my affiliate referrals grow. Now if only they would get busy and put that method to work! :D
So what have I learned? Using Squidoo can be an effective way to generate referrals. And referrals are worth their weight in gold. Or cash, if you prefer.

New Lens: How I Make Money on Twitter
I'd like to announce my latest Squidoo lens:
Why should you check it out? Well, basically it's about 90% of my Twitter strategy. What's the other 10%? That's what you might call a trade secret...heh.
It does give details on how I run my Twitter campaign, so I hope this will help you either duplicate my success or formulate your own strategy for monetizing your Twitter account.
Read. Enjoy.

Is Squidoo a Viable Way to Make Money Online?
For those of you who have no idea what I have done, I decided to check into the Squidoo zoo and see what the buzz was all about. I know Squidoo has been around for a while now, but I'm slow. Really, my laptop is running Windows 98 (and it a Pentium 133), hence the attempts to make some extra dough.
My lens, How I Get Money to Burn, has been online for about 2 days. With only the 20 or so visitors, I have earned affiliates in a couple different programs (just a couple signing up for a few programs can make a difference). Of course, these programs aren't designed to make anyone rich (except their founders), but the fact is that a little money CAN be made with them. The trick? Don't focus on completing thousands of offers. Instead, get tons of affiliates and let them do the work for you. Lazy? Not really, because affiliate marketing, as I am learning, takes quite a bit of effort and critical thinking. But one way to give your marketing a kick in the pants is to start a Squidoo lens about whatever it is you are marketing. Naturally, people will find it, and eventually (if your page is motivational enough), you will start seeing some outclicks to your stuff.
Personally, I like the idea of being able to set up a free mini-site in a matter of minutes on a reliable host where you can make money, not only from what you are marketing to your viewers, but also through royalties based on what Squidoo earns via your lens.
Squidoo seems to be a very good way to help promote your affiliates and/or services, and is definitely a good tool to help boost your revenue.
