Let the hunt begin…

Today I applied for a new job. I’m not really actively looking for something new, but more of a passive hunt.
I’m really wanting something that pays better, not that my job doesn’t pay well, but I’d like to bring home a steady 800-1000 per week. Having a HAZMAT endorsement isn’t doing me a whole lot of good just delivering groceries.
Which reminds me, I have to be at work at 2:30 A.M., so I should really call it a night.
I’m noticing that a lot of companies are wanting people with a diploma from an established truck driving school. That’s fine, but I received on-the-job training. It took me about 3 weeks from the time I started learning about truck driving until I had my license (I’m a fast learner). What about folks like me? I hope it doesn’t become a catch-22 for new drivers.
Perhaps they will call me and I can move into a company that is more satisfying.
And now…sleep!
