I thought I’d leave you with some of the more interesting (to me) articles I’ve read this week. Perhaps this will be a regular feature.
Petition against HR. 1955/S. 1959 (Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act)
Spoon River Anthology (Online Version)
(Mostly) Free Resources for the Web Worker who Works on the Web

Urgent: Petition to Stop HR. 1955/S. 1959
Dec 8, 2007 Politics
This act effectively makes it illegal to even talk about using any kind of force (not just violent force, but anything that would threaten the powers that be) to change government policy or actions.
Yes, even talking about using “force” will get you labeled as a terrorist.
It seems that the overthrow of “We the People” is almost complete. It’s time to dig in and do whatever it takes to stop it.
See, if this passes, the previous sentence could get me in lots of trouble. That’s a problem for me, and everyone else in this land where we are supposed to be protected from that kind of thing.
The right to bear arms was specifically included in the constitution to defend against a tyrannical government. If this passes, OUR CONSTITUTION would pretty much be terrorist literature to them.
Please, if you haven’t read any house bills before, start with this one, and act!
