Basically, it’s a list of stuff you need to check out. I don’t use a lot of these (except Notepad++ and 7-zip), but I need to start!

Review :: MySpaceHive.com
Nov 28, 2007 Blogging, Reviews
I admit it, I use MySpace.
Don’t laugh. We all know you use it to. Perhaps you just like to say that Tom is your friend, or like me, you actually use it to keep in touch with friends and family. For the longest time, my profile was the default blue and white no-nonsense theme. There are many sites on the net where you can find cool layouts, glitter graphics and the like for “pimping out” your profile. This review is focused on one such site, Myspace Comments.
To be honest I’ve never been a big fan of sites with many advertisements, and this was no exception. But everyone has to pay a hosting bill, so I’ve decided to forgive and forget.
The site features some nice layouts (in particular, the Abstract section piques my interest) with several categories to choose from, such as cartoons, quotes, models, cars, music, and several others.
The site also features graphics (of the glittery and non-glittery varieties), backgrounds, online icons, music player codes, comment boxes, picture captions, contact tables, and a few other surprises.
MySpaceHive’s content appears to be of decent quality, with some very nice layouts (and other items).
As for the site itself, I would rate their usability (on a scale of 1-10) as an 8, due to the advertisements slowing down my already lagged browser.
I give http://www.myspacehive.com an overall score of a 9. Way to go!

I Fixed the Glitch…
Nov 5, 2007 Blogging, Web Design
TSP: Themes! is running again. I just had to pop the hood and delete the link to my Amazon store via phpMyAdmin (which I had to fumble through, because I don’t really know that much about mySQL…and I couldn’t get to the login page due to being redirected).
It seems that you cannot use certain text strings on runhosting, even if you are within the terms of service guidelines…and they won’t give you a list of text strings that are not allowed “for security reasons”. Nice.
So now I need to get more theme stuff for that site. Submissions, anyone?

WordPress Theme Blog!
Oct 21, 2007 Blogging, Web Design
I’ve been setting up a sister-site to this one, a blog featuring mostly WordPress themes and plugins. I’d like to also add some MySpace layouts on the site. So far I haven’t created any myself (aside from the uber-simple css on my MS page), but there are many good ones out there that deserve all the promotion that they can get.
Be sure to check it out, submit your designs or links, and bookmark the site!
