Learning Not to Trust
Sep 15, 2007 Current Events, Politics
I have been watching a lot of 9/11 videos lately. I’ve always had a bit of mistrust for the government, but always felt that the U.S. Government would never do anything truly nefarious.
Watch List:
Freedom to Fascism
Loose Change
(a crapload of youtube videos)
Unsure of motivation for the government to do something dirty? How about the Project for the New American Century?
The more I see, the less I want to stay in this country.
In a related note, I was thinking about the 2nd Amendment - the right to bear arms. The purpose of this was to prevent the country from being taken over by a tyrannical government. However, it has been watered down today to be simply about the right to defend one’s self against attack by criminals and to be able to hunt for sport.
The U.S. military is so massive and powerful that it would be futile to try to defend yourself against it. The government doesn’t like automatic weapons, improvised weapons, or anything else that would present a threat to it’s power.
Protesters are arrested, news stories censored, and you still think we don’t live in a police state?
Ask the government; gun control is for our own protection, right? The constitution has been usurped. We have lost control.

How true, how true….
Alas, we are headed down, down, down…
There is nothing for it, however. We shall morn the loss of our liberty only once it is too late, I fear.

I’m afraid we could start mourning now.
I wonder if the founding fathers felt the same way.
I hope someone with some sense gets elected, however some of my friends and I feel that if Ron Paul is elected, he will have at least one attempt on his life for one main reason - he opposes the federal reserve. Much like the other presidents that were either assassinated or attacked.
Just a weird thought.
