Goals for 2012 – One Month Late Edition

Another day, another dollar. Sitting here at work has a funny way of making me think about things that I would like to accomplish in both my personal and professional life.

And no, this is not a ‘New Years Resolution’ post. I missed that bus about a month ago.

Anyway, here is a quick look at some of my goals for 2012.

Professional Goals

1. Make more money. This sounds like a no-brainer, right? Currently I’m working two jobs (so I don’t get a day off unless there is a holiday or I just decide that I can’t make it in for some reason), so it would be nice to not have that as a requirement. I have plenty of knowledge as far as making money online, and I plan to apply that.

2. Consult at least one blogger. Yep, that’s it. I know enough to help people make money blogging, it’s just finding the time and the person that actually wants to put some effort into it.

3. Focus more on excelling at work. I could probably be a better employee.

 Personal Goals

My personal goals read like a laundry list of resolutions. So to save time (and to facilitate plausible deniability), I’m going to list some of the big ones.

1. Start investing in stocks. Hey, this is an easy one. In fact, I’ve just transferred money into my so far unused brokerage account…I have a plan, I just want to play with this and see if it works.

2. Draw more pictures…for this site. What? I like my cartoon self!

3. Overhaul my guitar rig. Now that my band is actually playing shows, it’s good to have quality musical gear. My amp isn’t quite enough, so I’m using a spare amp that my guitarist had lying around. It’s awesome, but I really do want my own half-stack…

4. Something else. I’ll think about this for a while, add something here, and then do it.

5. Start saving for a new car. It’s about time. And frankly, who wants to drive a 1994 Toyota Corolla forever?
