SponsoredTweets Releases Firefox Extension for Advertisers
Welcome back! Have you joined my mailing list yet?
While making the rounds this evening, I came across a new tool that really struck a vein with me. As you may know, I really enjoy using Firefox and Twitter. I also like that whole making money thing as well.
So when I found out that SponsoredTweets had released a new add-on for Firefox, I had to check it out. Here's a sample video about the new SponsoredTweets plugin:
SponsoredTweets Lookup Firefox Add-on from Daniel Goodwin (@dascgo) on Vimeo.
Ok, so with this new add-on you can identify folks who are members of SponsoredTweets and be taken to their profile so you can create a new offer for them to take. That's a pretty cool feature, indeed. But the more I thought about this tools potential, the more I began to try to escape the proverbial box in which I was thinking.
What about finding out SponsoredTweet's pricing scheme? If a user doesn't change the amount they charge (using the amount that is assigned to them by ST), one could rather easily begin to compile a spreadsheet with followers and pricing information. This information could be valuable for both people looking to save a buck or two on advertising and also for IZEA's competitors.
Either way, it's a pretty sweet plugin.

If you have been wondering why Twitter has been acting funny this evening, it's because they were doing some work on the site.
And boy, does it look...different. Nice though.

Twitter Testing Was An Epic Win
The other day I was reading through a web forum that discussed some very interesting alternative marketing tricks, and I came across a person who had created a tool for automatically posting messages to Twitter. I wanted to see what this could do when you combined it with my current Twitter marketing strategy.
In a word, wow.
At this time I won't divulge the actual name of the tool, since it has been upgraded and I will be testing out the newer application soon. Probably today, actually.
In a nutshell, my strategy includes one CPC link that earns $.10 per click. Now, when I post this link, I normally make $1-$3 each time. Well, with the autoposter, I had it set to go off every two minutes. By the time I ended the test at 11 PM CDT, I had made $67.50. Not bad, eh?
Well, I didn't want to lose my Twitter account, so I went back and deleted all of the posts from my timeline. I especially had to do this because I used my main Twitter account. Probably not the best move.
Today I have shifted the tool to post to another, more appropriate niche-related account at a somewhat slower rate. As of right now, I'm sitting at $28.20 for the day. And yes, it's still climbing.
I can't wait to test the new tool, which should allow me to rotate text, rotate accounts, and basically do a better job in a better, less spammy way.
I apologize to my followers for being brutalized by my test. Hey, at least I'm sharing what I do to make money with you...you can join the bandwagon!
Anyway, I had to treat myself to some sushi today. It's a very rare treat for me. And since I'm such a sushi noob, I thought it would be good to try to be like John Chow and get a pic. Unfortunately, my stupid cell phone camera doesn't auto-save pictures, so that means I'll have to go order the same thing again some day. Hmm...not a bad idea!

New Lens: How I Make Money on Twitter
I'd like to announce my latest Squidoo lens:
Why should you check it out? Well, basically it's about 90% of my Twitter strategy. What's the other 10%? That's what you might call a trade secret...heh.
It does give details on how I run my Twitter campaign, so I hope this will help you either duplicate my success or formulate your own strategy for monetizing your Twitter account.
Read. Enjoy.

Breadbox64 – The Ultimate Twitter Client
We are all on high alert for the latest Twitter tools. This one didn't quite fly under my radar, although I have to admit that it really did try to.
But how could I pass this one up?
Breadbox64 is a new Twitter client that runs on none other than a Commodore 64. Since it seems that the social media generation falls primarily in an age group that has for the most part never seen (or heard of) reel-to-reel or 8 track tapes, some of you may be left scratching your heads. Surely this blogger has to be kidding, right?
No, I'm not kidding. Here's the video:
While this might not be quite as portable as your iPhone, it will allow those really old school geeks (like me) to dust off that old hardware. And since the digital TV switch, you probably have an old analog television set sitting around that you can connect your C64 to!
Download Breadbox64 here! (For C64, NOT Windows...)
