Why are all of the real crazy people from California?

I've always wondered what it is about California that causes people to be just plain crazy and/or stupid. Yes, I know, there are exceptions. But based on what I have seen personally, most of them are just total wackos.
Case in point: this is one of the funniest tech calls I have ever heard. Listen. Laugh. Laugh some more. I wonder how Leo Laporte kept his decorum through this call...I would have just laughed...and been far more blunt.

Want to know how I would fix the need for oil? I had some thoughts...

But not in an ugly way...it's respectable. And besides, if we can power our vehicles with them...
