TNX.net: Another Way to Build Links

TNX.net Buy and Sell Links

It seems like there are many programs out there that allow you to buy and sell links for your sites. Today, we will be talking about a newer player in this market, TNX.net.

For publishers, TNX.net allows you to purchase targeted ads, based on whatever the content is on every individual page of your site. As for pricing, TNX.net does happen to charge a 12.5% commission on each transaction you make. And fortunately, there’s a plethora of advertisers (thousands, actually) to choose from, so you aren’t just stuck with the folks trying to sell prescription eyeware (or some other ridiculous keyword not related to your niche).

The system is easy to set up on your blog. Just copy the code and paste it where you want it. Done.

Advertisers, don’t worry — they did not forget you! With just a few clicks, you can literally purchase thousands of non-reciprocal links for your site…which means one thing: traffic goes up, and so does your page rank (potentially)! Fortunately, you get the benefit of not being handed links on just any old site, you get to choose which sites you purchase your links from. Also, you wouldn’t be stuck with a high bill, unless you just wanted one! For as low as $11.00 per month, you can get up to 10,000 static links for your site! Now that’s a good deal!

For those of you who are SEO specialists or consultants, TNX.net offers discounts of up to 50% off! That’s pretty awesome, if you ask me.

Of course, one of the biggest attention drawing features of TNX.net for me was their affiliate program (but you knew that, didn’t you?). Of course there’s always the free links that were being discussed over at Digital Point…

There are more reviews of this service out there that I recommend checking out (because knowledge is power).

Go on over and check out TNX.net. You will be glad that you did.

Making a Trade

I’m excited! Tomorrow evening I will begin my new job. I hope that this one will work out better than the one I just left. I really am excited about getting back into an 18-wheeler and driving back into the oilfield.

Of course, there is a small trade-off involved in starting this new job.

I won’t be driving the company truck to work…instead I will be driving about 35 miles one way. That’s right - I will be forced to pay for fuel again. Of course, a stable pay rate and a decent amount of overtime is worth it to me.

The fact is, I will make more money at the new job. I will be starting on the night shift, which I don’t mind at all…it gets hot during the day!

All things considered, this could be a good thing.

Someone Please Tell Me

There has got to be a better way to make money with a blog than copy-pasting pre-written sponsored posts in blocks of three.

I mean, all bloggers have to pay their bills, but geez…I feel horrible about doing that to my readers. It’s just non-content that makes me feel terrible…like I just spammed my mother.

My paid posts are pretty much the only source of income I have from this (and my other) blog. The ads just aren’t generating anything useful, and I’m just starting with freelancing (which I hope can replace all these crappy paid posts). So far it’s off to a good start, but still, I feel bad.

I want to apologize to my readers for the aforementioned commercials.

It’s important to know the rules.

Yesterday was my last day driving a tow truck. I wish that I could say that I am now a full time blogger/uber-affiliate, but I can’t. I do start a new job Monday, perhaps now I can afford to pay ALL of the bills at one time.

My last paycheck will be coming in next Friday. Of course, I had some trouble getting my check yesterday, because the supervisor that I answer to either doesn’t understand how the pay periods work, doesn’t understand the laws behind holding a paycheck, or doesn’t care.

My guess is all of the above.

See, they told me that I could not have my check until I completed an ‘exit interview’. That’s all well and good…had that been my last paycheck. However, since it was not, they had no legal right to tell me I could not have it…which they were telling me consistently. It went as far as the boss in question telling another employee “do the interview NOW and send him home…”.

It’s sad to see a small business being consistently held back by ’supervisors’ who don’t understand an employee’s legal rights. Furthermore, it sucks to have a boss that doesn’t give half a crap about the people he is overseeing.

Either way, I don’t have to put up with it anymore, and I am happy to say that I received my check after all.

Please, if you are a working citizen, learn the rules (at least the basics) of being an employee, your rights and privileges that are protected under law, etc. ESPECIALLY if you are young (for example, fast food workers). You may only care about getting a check, but to be certain you don’t get screwed over, you need to know what legal rights you have. If an employer tries to force you to do something that you are legally prevented from doing, make sure your employer knows that YOU know this. An employer cannot fire you for sticking to workplace laws. Not legally, anyway. Sure, it annoys them. It always annoys the ‘authorities’ when you prove you know more about the system then they do…but I don’t recommend rubbing it in their faces for the sake of showing off. Only do this if the situation calls for it…and make SURE you are correct before going through with it.

It’s risky to make sure your employer plays by the rules. But everybody is held to the same rules, so it’s best to know what those rules are.

When you know how the system works, you can make it work in your favor.
