Dreaming Big

Welcome back! Have you joined my mailing list yet?

I have been so overwhelmed lately by my lack of time-management ability.  My 'real job' keeps me so busy, sometimes working 14+ hours each day, that I have no time to stop and look around to see what I'm missing.  And now that my family and I have our own place to stay, my radio gig (which I do for various reasons - fun, extra money, etc.) paycheck is being used to help pay the bills.  No problem, that was the plan from the beginning.  Things are beginning to stabilize.

**I'm at the station now...some lady singing on this live church broadcast...waugh...can't really hit those high notes like she thinks she can...

We've been trying to move our things from one house to the new house, squeezing in trips between the two every chance I get.  I really need to get it finished today.  I doubt that I will.

I keep wishing that I had a way to find an easier job (not so physically straining) that paid just as good or better.  I need to get my life organized.

My goal for the next 2-3 years is this: I would like to get a good pickup truck and start up my own Hot Shot business.

I have no idea how to go about getting the cash for the truck.  And then, I would need commercial insurance.  A DBA only costs about $50 (I believe), so that won't be too big of a problem.

I also plan to take another shot at college.  I would really like to get an Associates degree (for starters) in Accounting.  I love computers, but the market is flooded.  People always need accountants.  I have a good friend who does this for Halliburton, and to say the least, he's doing OK.

I welcome suggestions and ideas of ways to make easy cash in very little time (i.e. available time).  It doesn't have to be much, just enough to put some back.  Also ideas on reducing bills, time management, etc.

Please help!

Learning Not to Trust

I have been watching a lot of 9/11 videos lately.  I've always had a bit of mistrust for the government, but always felt that the U.S. Government would never do anything truly nefarious.

Watch List:

Freedom to Fascism

Loose Change

(a crapload of youtube videos)

Unsure of motivation for the government to do something dirty?  How about the Project for the  New American Century?

The more I see, the less I want to stay in this country.

In a related note, I was thinking about the 2nd Amendment - the right to bear arms.  The purpose of this was to prevent the country from being taken over by a tyrannical government.  However, it has been watered down today to be simply about the right to defend one's self against attack by criminals and to be able to hunt for sport.

The U.S. military is so massive and powerful that it would be futile to try to defend yourself against it.  The government doesn't like automatic weapons, improvised weapons, or anything else that would present a threat to it's power.

Protesters are arrested, news stories censored, and you still think we don't live in a police state?

Ask the government; gun control is for our own protection, right?  The constitution has been usurped.  We have lost control.
